Hikayat — A Variable Display Font Inspired by Thuluth script
While developing TS Thuluth typeface, we explored a side experiment: crafting a display typeface inspired by the elegance of traditional Thuluth, but optimized for bold, high-contrast headlines.
Hikayat is a variable font that gives designers expressive control over the stretch and proportions of wide bowls, making it ideal for dynamic layouts and poster design.
The font supports both Arabic and Latin scripts. It features a rich set of ligatures and stylistic alternates inspired by traditional Thuluth script, infusing it with a refined yet contemporary character.
